From the position of a friend, bandmate and skilled photographer, Ringo portrays four lads from Liverpool trying to live normal lives amidst the frenzy that surrounded them. Help! is on the way on Blu-ray

On June 24 (June 25 in North America), Help!, The Beatles’ second feature film, makes its eagerly awaited Blu-ray debut in a single-disc package, pairing the digitally restored film and 5.1 soundtrack with an hour of extra features. An introduction by the film’s director, Richard Lester, and an appreciation by Martin Scorsese are included in the Blu-ray’s booklet.
Help!’s Blu-ray edition follows the 2012 release of The Beatles’ digitally restored Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour feature films on Blu-ray, DVD and iTunes.

Let It Be, As Nature Intended
When The Beatles first set out to make Let It Be in 1969, they intended to record an album that would be a return to live performance. No studio effects or overdubbing of voices or instruments would be allowed - just the bare necessities of the band.
Let It Be… Naked is the stripped-down, return-to-live-takes album that The Beatles originally aimed to create, free of vocal and instrumental overdubs or added effects.

We are launching a series of five special podcasts featuring tracks from the album, original archive sound from the making of Let It Be, and interviews with Paul, George and Ringo reflecting on that period in The Beatles' career.

About Let It Be… Naked
Let It Be evolved from an original plan to make a television show featuring the group playing tracks from the recent ‘White Album.’ That idea changed in three ways. First, abandoning the easier path, they opted to learn a completely new batch of songs for the televised concert. A second innovative approach was added when it was decided to film the rehearsals; allowing viewers to trace the development of each song from its first rough run through to the final polished version. Thirdly, as the climax of the project was a return to live performance, no studio effects or overdubbing of voices and instruments would be allowed at any time.

According to NME, March 8th 1963: "Things are beginning to move for the Beatles, the r-and-b styled British group. The disc ‘Please Please Me’ follows closely on the heels of their first hit ‘Love Me Do’ written by group members John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It looks like a bright future for the Beatles, but knowing them I don’t think they’ll let it go to their heads."
As recalled by George Martin "Please Please Me was done in a day - we started at 10 o'clock in the morning finished at 11 at night, and that was the record made."

First Major Exhibition To Explore The Life Of Ringo Starr
Ringo: Peace & Love To Premier At The GRAMMY Museum® June 12, 2013 and Tour Selected Cities Through 2014
This one-of-a-kind, limited-run exhibit will offer visitors an unprecedented in-depth look at all aspects of Ringo’s musical and creative life – as a musician, artist, actor, and as the man the world knows and loves simply as 'Ringo.' It will also aim to propel Starr’s universal message of peace and love.
Ringo: Peace & Love is both the first major exhibit ever dedicated to a drummer and the first to explore the extraordinary career of the 7-time GRAMMY Award® winner. The scope of exhibit spans Ringo’s early life growing up in Liverpool, from Raving Texans turned Rory Storm, from The Beatles, to becoming a solo artist and then to the All Starrs with whom he is on tour now – this unique collection brings together diverse artifacts, rare and never before seen photographs, documents, personal letters and footage.

12 Hours to Record Please Please Me
On Monday 11th February 1963 the Beatles’ debut album was recorded in just one day. On the 50th anniversary of that 12-hour session at Abbey Road, leading artists attempt the same feat, in the same timescale, in the same studio.
Acclaimed guitarist Graham Coxon, Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford from Squeeze and Manchester’s I Am Kloot join soul sensation Joss Stone, The Stereophonics, Gabrielle Aplin and Mick Hucknall for the event.

The results are broadcast live in exact recording order and timing, as Abbey Road links up with Western House throughout the day on Radio 2, on Monday 11th February 2013. The event will then be broadcast on BBC Four at the end of that week in an hour long special.

From 19:00 - 22:30, as the day reaches a climax and as the pace of songs recorded increases - as it did 50 years before - Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 will join Stuart Maconie and host a three hour show coming live from Abbey Road. The "Concert for George" 10th Anniversary
In celebrating George Harrison and the "Concert for George" 10th Anniversary, the entire "Concert for George" documentary film will be available to stream on the George Harrison Youtube Channel on Thursday, November 29th for 24 Hours only.
On November 29, 2002, one year after the passing of George Harrison, Olivia Harrison and longtime friend Eric Clapton organized a performance tribute in his honour. His closest friends gathered at London's Royal Albert Hall to celebrate his life the only way they knew how - by playing his music.
