Revolution
You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's going to be alright
Alright, alright
You say you want a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's going to be alright
Alright, alright
You say you'll change the Constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with me anyhow
Don't you know it's going to be alright
Alright, alright
Alright, alright...

Hair peace 1969 on 1st Mar 12:
“Sounds from a day in the life can be heard in this song. Revolution 9 can be see as a sound collage of 1968 or John lennon's life. Think about it the beginning sounds like London during world war 2 in which John was a baby. " the shortage of grain" and when the song concludes John has met Yoko the reason why she speaks near the end.
So now revolution 9 doesn't sound creepy at all.” -

Lennon2916 on 3rd May 11:
“I love this song because of its creativity and phycoticness. John said that the song was suppose to represent the sound of industrialization being made. I think this song really represents his artistic analysis and thought process of things even though he said he really couldn't remember half the things he said. I think he also made a good decision putting Yoko Ono's voice at the end even though it probably ticked George off.”
