Fav Track: That Means A Lot

We love all the songs (except maybe "Revolution 9"), but wanted to mention this one, the greatest Beatles song not to be officially released by the Beatles. How could John and Paul let this one go to someone else without giving their own recording of it a second chance is beyond comprehension.

While I love all the albums, I wanted to mention "Revolver" because in hindsight, it's the Beatles at their most innovative and groundbreaking, being the perfect blend of concert-ready material representing the first-half of their career and the studio material that marked the second half. The guitars are slightly distorted and stinging, the lyrics were now half-love, half-social commentary, and the diversity of the songs is much more pronounced in my opinion than even the "White Album". George shines here, scoring 3 wins: getting the opening track on a Beatles album, getting 3 tracks compared with his usual 2, and tying with John's "Tomorrow Never Knows" for most daring song up to that point to appear on a Beatles album with his Indian "Love You To". Finally, the underestimated "And Your Bird Can Sing", with its perfectly harmonized guitars, is one of the most virtuosic tracks in the Beatles catalog and proof why so many guitarists (myself included) first picked up the instrument thanks to these guys. In fact, "Revolver" is the Beatles ultimate guitar album.
